Fairchild veteran and author to present to school children while Qualfon surprises students with a book giveaway and recruits military spouses and veterans
June 8th, 2015, (Spokane, WA) – Qualfon, a people-driven business process outsourcing (BPO) company and global provider of contact center services, announced today that its office in Liberty Lake, Washington is teaming up with veteran-owned educational publishing firm Gracefully Global Group LLC to sponsor a special event for the children at Fairchild Air Force Base in Airway Heights.
On Monday, June 8th, nine-time award-winning author Graciela Tiscareño-Sato (USAF Captain and veteran) and Qualfon representatives will serve Spokane’s military community by making a special visit to Michael Anderson Elementary School at the airbase. During two school assemblies, Tiscareño-Sato will share highlights of her aviation career that inspired the bilingual Captain Mama children’s picture book series and read the first book in the series titled Good Night Captain Mama/Buenas Noches Capitán Mamá [ISBN: 978-0-9834760-3-0]. As a sponsor of the event, Qualfon will gift Good Night Captain Mama books to the younger children and use the opportunity as an outreach program for recruiting military spouses and veterans.

“Qualfon is actively hiring in Liberty Lake, WA and in Coeur d’Alene and Hayden, ID. We find that military spouses and veterans enjoy the work flexibility Qualfon offers and also have the skillsets we need,” said Lindy Bryant, Regional Recruiting Manager at Qualfon, also an Air Force veteran. “One of our employees has known Graciela since she was stationed here, and they’ve remained friends ever since. Gifting literature written by a veteran with local ties to Spokane is a great way to introduce Qualfon to the local military community while also doing something positive for our service members’ children. This partnership is a great fit.”
Tiscareño-Sato flew as a navigator and instructor with both the 93rd and 96th aerial refueling squadrons while stationed at Fairchild. She also served as a wing contingency planning officer with the 92 OSS, an assignment where she developed critical skills needed to become a successful social entrepreneur. Now, as the founder and Chief Creative Officer of Gracefully Global Group, she leads teams that publish unique educational literature. She’s a sought-after keynote speaker around the country, speaking on leadership topics, women in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) careers, innovation and entrepreneurship as found in her books. She aims to inspire audiences to dream way beyond current circumstances and about bright futures as educated, globally conscious citizens.
“When I was invited to speak at the elementary school, I immediately thought of extending the value chain throughout the greater Spokane community,” said Tiscareño -Sato. “I reached out to my local professional network to find a sponsor to gift books to the children at the base. My bilingual children’s book series about a military aviator and her kids is set at Fairchild AFB and Qualfon is looking to hire military spouses and members who are leaving the military. The synergy was strong to partner for this event. I’m thrilled we can introduce the children at Fairchild to this award-winning literature and simultaneously give Qualfon the opportunity to offer employment opportunities to veterans and military spouses!”
